Worst Cash Game Results Ever
Since Hurricane (Tropical Storm) Irene was blowing through the area, I decided to bypass Delaware Park (they were canceling all tournaments after the noon tournament due to the storm) and drive down to Hollywood Casino. I got to the casino in the morning and stayed until about midnight. I stayed at one table, the regular $5/$5 PLO game. I understand PLO has much more variance than NL but I really ran bad during that session losing $1,500. After my last loss I decided that it just wasn't my night and left. Some of the losses were standard such as flopping top set and pushing and getting called by a flush draw. Others were more painful such as when I reraised preflop with AAxx and flopped the nut flush draw, turned a set of aces and lost to one other player who was chasing the king high flush draw and made a wheel with his 24. On the last hand of the night I got it all in on the flop ($1,100 pot) on a board of 228 when I held A2xx and got rivered with a player who held 29xx and spiked the nine. Momma told me there'll be nights like this. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Keep repeating in my head, as long as I get it in good, that is all I can do. Still doesn't subdue the sting. Blah.
