This tournament had a $25K guarantee but just missed the number of players needed so first place was $8K and second $5K. We didn't make the final table until 8pm with 10 players but only nine got paid so everyone chipped in $30 for the bubble boy. Since I was a short stack, I decided to contribute. Of course there is always one player who doesn't have any money which I just don't understand. You had enough money to pay into the $340 tournament but don't have $30 in change?
When we got down to four players I was crippled when I lost the classic coin flip of QQ versus AK. Fortunately for me an interesting event happened two hands earlier with the other short stack at the table, a gentleman in a wheelchair who talked non-stop, reminding me of Dwight Pilgrim. The dealer flipped a card which landed in a players lap. The wheelchair guy turned his card over because he thought it was a misdeal. The floor was called and the flipped card was returned to the table and that player received a new card. The wheelchair guy had to play his hand with the card he exposed. Then he received a four hand penalty. This allowed me to get into third place. The wheelchair guy was arguing non-stop even at the cage when I left. He even challenged me to a heads-up match for $10K. What a character.

Congrats on the ca$h!
Thanks. The payout structure is so topsided; really emphasizes how you should always play to win.
Getting into fights with handicap people, huh... tsk tsk tsk...
Congrats on the nice cash! One of these days, I'd like to meet up with you; perhaps Hefmike & I can coordinate a trip up there with you :-).
He started it.
Thanks. I think it would be great to hook-up and play some poker, whether at Hollywood, Delaware Park or even AC.
I might go to Delaware Park this weekend to play the Ironman.
